It's You Not Them

Season #2 Episode #47

One of the most common frustrations I hear from bosses revolves around employees not doing what they are supposed to do. This topic drives managers crazy, stresses them out and makes them sometimes act inappropriately when it all boils up to them. The common target of their frustration is the employee.

I've got good news and bad news. The good news is the employee is not underperforming on purpose. They are not trying to make you mad. They really want to do a good job and exactly what you want them to do.

Now for the bad news. The root cause of the reason why they are not doing what you want them to all goes back to you...their manager. The person the boss should be getting down on is the person looking back at them in the mirror. What???

As you listen to this podcast you will begin recognizing the steps you are not taking that causes the poor performance. Fix your mistakes and your life just got a lot less stressful. You will be happier. Your spouse will look forward to you coming home and your dog won't run from you when they see you.

I know because I lived that life early in my career. Then I started finding and developing a better way. I found out the real cause of my frustration. I've practiced these approaches for decades now and they work like a charm.
